About
Action Tree Service has provided a full range of professional tree services for residential and commercial customers in San Antonio and its surrounding communities since 1955. Action Tree Service was founded in 1955 by Frank Bellino. Frank was (and is) an avid arborist, and in addition to Action Tree, Frank also founded the San Antonio Arborist Society. Frank’s son Marcus took over the business in 1990. Marcus could be seen driving around town in his old pick-up truck, trimming trees with his crew, and making friends everywhere he went. In 2019 Marcus sold the company to us, and we carry that passion for trees and friendly service that Frank and Marcus built into the fabric of the company.
Preston Moore and his wife Elizabeth, along with Derek Sledge and his wife Lorin, purchased Action Tree Service from the Bellino family in January of 2019. Preston and Derek have decades of experience in commercial banking, and Derek continues to work as a Business Development Officer in San Antonio. Preston serves as General Manager and oversees the crews, estimating jobs and customer relations. In November of 2020, Travis Hale bought in as a third owner. He has decades of experience in commercial banking but left the corporate world to build out the infrastructure and support systems for Action Tree Service’s operating company and future franchises. Travis will be an instrumental player in your franchise’s growth.
